Story Louise Rolley

Louise has always had a passion for food and people.


With a background in Fine Art and Nursing early on, she found her niche with the Ray White Group as a successful Real Estate Agent in Sydney's Eastern suburbs of Paddington for many years.  


Louise is highly driven to succeed in anything she does, and is also passionate about health and fitness. She has competed in several Marathons with a passion for running.

After returning to Brisbane to raise her three young children, Louise decided to pursue her life long passion for food. She successfully made the Top 36 for MasterChef Australia, appearing in the first 2 episodes before being eliminated, which ignited her dream to finally start her own catering business in 2021.


“The Running Cook” was born out of a love for entertaining and hosting dinner parties for friends and family. Within six months, demand for her services soared.

The Running Cook is now in high demand, consistently booked out most weekends.

Louise’s dedication to providing outstanding food at events continues to drive her business's growth, supported by a small and talented team of creative Chefs.

LOUIE GOTTING

Owner/Head Chef

Louise has a wealth of hospitality experience, a strong passion for cooking, and a deep understanding of the art of entertaining that spans many years. She believes that bringing people together through exceptional service is just as important as the food itself.

It is not only her food that shines but also her personality. Her ability to build rapport quickly with clients, especially when working in their homes, ensures a personalised service is delivered that creates truly memorable experiences and long-lasting relationships and referrals.

Louise has honed her skills with experience in some of Brisbane’s top commercial kitchens, however her true passion lies in planning, creating and cooking in the home kitchens of her wonderful clients.


Louise describes her menus as "food inspired by flavour." She emphasises healthy cooking by minimising the use of oil, butter and cream without sacrificing on taste. However, she admits "if you’re going to eat something like dessert, go all out."


Her motto: simple, tasty, delicious!

SCOTT BAGNELL

Chef

Scott is a Top 9 Finalist of Masterchef Australia 2021. He is a passionate chef that loves creating unique food experiences through storytelling; recreating nostalgic dishes with a new spin; and exploring creative flavour combinations that include interesting ingredients and Australian Native produce. Scott is passionate about Japanese cuisine and currently works part-time as a Chef at Honto Restaurant in Brisbane. Scott is also a self-confessed ‘food nerd’ with a library of over 400 cookbooks and specialises in desserts, pastries and cooking over fire.

In his spare time, Scott is also a keen wine enthusiast, passionate teacher, international traveller and commercial Interior Designer with over 20 years’ experience specialising in hospitality and retail design experiences.

KELLY MURRAY

Chef

Kelly is a highly talented, down-to-earth and experienced Chef with an impressive career of over 20 years.  
Born and bred in Brisbane, she completed her apprenticeship at the Carlton Crest and then went on to work at The Polo Club in Brisbane before moving to London.
In more recent years, she was the Head Chef at Black Hide Steakhouse by Gambaro Group. She not only comes with a wealth of knowledge but the prestigious achievement of 2 Chef’s Hats while in the Black Hide Steakhouse team where they were also Crowned Australia's Best Steak Restaurant, Restaurant of the Year, and Queensland's Best Steak Restaurant.  
She is the “grill master”, so be sure to make sure steak is on the menu when paired with Kelly!
